Conceiçao leads the group with a new brilliant victory away!

Cameroon secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Mozambique in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier at the Zimpeto National Stadium in Maputo on Monday night. The victory saw the Indomitable Lions extend their lead to six points at the top of the Group F standings, while the Mambas remain second on the table.

The Mambas, who were desperate to avenge their 4-1 defeat to Cameroon, got off to a bright as they looked to grab an early goal in order to unsettle the visitors’ defence.Mozambique were awarded a penalty in the 20th minute, but Reginaldo failed to convert it as he hit the woodwork from the spot-kick.The hosts were left to rue that missed opportunity as the Indomitable Lions opened the scoring four minutes before the half-hour mark.Ngoumo Ngamaleu set-up Vincent Aboubakar, who made no mistake as he beat Mozambique goalkeeper Julio Franque to make it 1-0 to Cameroon.
