The TAS confirmed in an award dated May 8, 2023, the FIFA PSC ruling in favor of Antonio Conceiçao, for the dismissal without just cause that occurred on February 28, 2022, for which Antonio Conceiçao, still being the valorate The most important factor  in Cameroon’s qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he was deprived of directing the Cameroonian team in such a world event.

Finally, our client has obtained a favorable decision from the TAS, which flatly rejected FECAFOOT’s appeal to the FIFA ruling of June 7, 2022 in his favor, for which FECAFOOT will have to compensate him for the full amount of his remaining contract whose term was in September 2023, plus the salaries owed on that date, and other emoluments agreed in his contract.

FECAFOOT must comply in a timely manner with the decision of the FIFA PSC according to the FIFA Regulations with the consequences established in the FIFA Regulations otherwise.

Toni Conceiçao, who had a record of only 2 losses in 24 games, with 14 wins and 8 draws, rose to the national team in the FIFA ranking meteorically, classifying the team as a bronze medalist in the last CAN 2022 and his key contribution to Cameroon’s qualification for the World Cup in Qatar, thus obtaining recognition for a job well done to Cameroonian football in the 3 years he was at the helm of the national team.
